In this workshop you will work on sections of your Business Plan. If you have already started to write your plan, bring the draft of your plan to the workshop. Experienced SCORE volunteers will be available to discuss specific aspects of your plan with you.

Most entrepreneurs have a limited amount of time and capital when they start their business. It is critical to be doing the right thing, at the right time with the right people.
Therefore the Marketing for Success workshop will focus on the 3 key areas needed for business success. Those areas are product positioning, promotional mix and selling skills. The Marketing for Success workshop will provide participants with ideas that will enable them to better compete in a competitive world

During the Marketing for Success workshop there will be breakout sessions where participants can interact with SCORE members in defining position in the marketplace, determine promotional mix and fine tune selling presentation.

This session covers the basics of using Quickbooks and its key features.  The instructor will use PowerPoint and Quickbooks to discuss and demo:

• Setup and the company file
• Chart of Accounts and various lists
• Customers and sales
• Vendors and expenses or purchases

• Financial statements and reports
• Journal entries, etc., as time allows
